Movie Story : 

Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in action during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks and was consequently awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award, on 26 January 2009.

The Major Movie is based on true events and tells the story of a real-life hero named Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan (played by Adivi Sesh). He saved many people who were held hostage by terrorists during the attack on the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai on November 26, 2008. Unfortunately, he sacrificed his life while bravely facing the terrorists.

The film was made in both Telugu and Hindi languages and later translated into Malayalam. Adivi Sesh plays the lead role in the movie, and other prominent actors like Prakash Raj, Revathi Nair, and Murali Sharma also have important roles. The music is composed by Sricharan Pakala, and the cinematography was done by Vamsi Patchipulusu. The editors of the movie are Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi and Kotai Pavan Kalyan.

Filming for the movie began in February 2020 but faced delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the challenges, it was shot in 120 days at more than 75 different locations. The movie depicts the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, from his childhood to becoming the commanding officer of operations black Tornado.

Originally, the film was planned to release on July 2, 2021, but had to be postponed due to the pandemic. Later, it was rescheduled for February 11, 2022, but faced another delay because of the Omicron variant. Finally, the movie is now set to release on June 3, 2023."
